Online-based Body Psychotherapy Training

Online therapy can be as powerful as in person therapy; however, it asks us to develop different ways of seeing, listening and sensing through the screen.
In Core Energetics and body psychotherapy, this means learning how to be profoundly connected to your and your clients body and energetic field.
This 12-hour training is designed for Core Energetics graduates, 4th-year students and other body psychotherapy practitioners who want to work online with more confidence, depth and embodiment.
Together, and through teaching, clinical examples, hands-on practice, peer-practice sessions and supervision we will explore how to preserve the essence of body psychotherapy, such as body, energy, emotional truth, presence and connection, while adapting interventions to the online setting with clarity and safety.
In this training, we will explore:
• Reading the body through the screen and working with safety as we invite movement, expression, charge and discharge.
• Creating presence, containment and therapeutic connection in the online field.
• Practicing online interventions with colleagues.
• Supervision of real cases and live supervision
Format
This is a 12-hour online training:
• 3 online classes of 2 hours each, with teaching, discussion and supervision.
• 6 hours of assignments and practice between classes.
The assignments include:
• 2 peer-practice sessions as a therapist.
• 2 peer-practice sessions as a client.
• Short written reflection reports to support the supervision process.

Class 1 — Discovering online therapy
