About the masterclass
This 4-day masterclass invites participants to explore pleasure as the natural language of life, and as an embodied state of connection, coherence, and surrender. Rooted in the Core Energetics approach and inspired by the Pathwork teachings, this work integrates body, emotion, and spirit through movement, grounding, and presence. It also grows from Fernando’s innovative research on the Intelligences and the Flow of Life, and from his ongoing study on pleasure as a path of healing and self-realization. Pleasure is approached as a force that unites love, wisdom, and power, a pathway toward deeper surrender to the flow of life.
The masterclass is designed for therapists and graduates of Core Energetics who wish to improve their therapeutic skills and expand their capacity to feel, express, and sustain aliveness, pleasure and surrender while remaining grounded with an open heart and connected to the Sacred.
During this masterclass, we will explore these four dimensions in depth through a deeply experiential approach:
1. Attuning to the Flow Within
Learning to attune more deeply to yourself and to the flow of energy within you, cultivating a lived trust in the wisdom that resides in the body and in life itself.
2. Meeting the Lower Self and Negative Pleasure
Experiencing the lower self and negative pleasure beyond the need to fight, discharge, or explode. Discovering the depth of power and truth that is held within these states.
3. Expanding Pleasure Through the Whole System
Allowing pleasure to expand beyond localized experience into the whole energetic system, opening pathways to profound spiritual connection that remain grounded and embodied.
4. Embodying the Fundamental Intelligences
Understanding and sensing the embodied expressions of what I call the fundamental intelligences, pleasure in movement in its many forms, and how they support the healing and integration of the five character defense structures.
5 Differentiating Pleasure and Its Effects on the Nervous System
Learning to distinguish different qualities of pleasure and understanding their impact on the nervous system. Recognizing that not all pleasure leads to integration and healing, and developing the sensitivity to orient toward forms of pleasure that support coherence, regulation, and transformation.
Inspiration
The proposal grows from the book Surrendering to the Flow of Life and from Fernando’s long-standing research (The Pleasure Lab) on pleasure as a path of healing and self-realization. It also draws from the online program “Pleasure as a Path”, co-created with Elisa Alves (Psy, PhD), which explores the energetic, emotional, and spiritual dimensions of pleasure through lived experience.
In this masterclass, we deepen that path through embodied exploration and group field work, where surrender becomes not an idea, but an experience that breathes through the body and the soul.
Core Intention
To guide participants from control toward surrender, from resistance and fragmentation toward trust, coherence, and the openness to Life. Through movement, breath, voice, expression, and relational exercises, participants will rediscover pleasure as a creative and regulating force, capable of softening defenses, transforming the lower self, restoring pulsation, and awakening presence.

About the Facilitator
FERNANDO AGUIAR: Master in Clinical Psychologist, Core Energetics teacher and supervisor, TRE level 2, author of Surrendering to the Flow of Life. He teaches internationally in Brazil and the Netherlands, integrating psychology, bodywork, and spiritual development through the path of pleasure, love, and embodiment.
